Spring 2012 and the BelAir is getting ready for work
Now that spring is officially here, I can safely move the BelAir into the garage and leave my truck outside.
This week sounds like a good time to me. First project is to get it up on blocks, remove the old rear-end and springs then install the new springs and rear-end. Should only take two days once I get it all organized. The new springs are going to give me about 2.5″ of drop in the rear end. This will be cool. Then once I get the engine and tranny in, I can see if I need to compress the front springs to get it level.

Things have settled down a bit. It is time to move stuff around so that the BelAir can roll in.

The BelAir is still not in the garage.. bummer.
oldihc.org down again
oldihc.org is down again. I have notified John of the problem.
Right now, it does not seem to be a site hack but more likely a server issue.
Brady
It is back to the ER again. Brady has what appears to be fluid build up around his shunt.

Winter Blahs
It’s that time of year. In between winter and spring when we have had enough of winter and want to get on with spring. When the grass turns green, the garden gets planted, and least of which it is the time when we can start working on those outdoor projects that got put on the back burner last fall.
I’m just like everyone else, tired of winter. Even solitaire is getting boring now.
Did I forget to mention that we can go fishing on soft water after the great ice-out??
2 days in a row!
Today marks the second day in a row that Brady has been well enough to go to school.
This is really good news! The little guy has been so sick lately. It was so heart breaking when I picked him up from the floor the other day (he curls up into a ball on the floor when he isn’t feeling good) and there were tears running down his cheek.
Now he is happy and feeling much better. Thank you Nick for working with the hospital to hopefully find an end to this ongoing issue.

My collection of IHC truck ads. 1936 through 1975
There are a few years missing. As soon as I can find the ads, I will add them to the collection.

It’s all worth it!
It’s been a tough week for Brady. He would start caughing up phlegm in the morning, which would usually turn into him vomiting.
Grandpa daycare was in full swing. Despite how sick the kid-lets get, there is always that certain love that they share without telling you. Yesterday morning (Friday 1/27/2012), I was laying down with Brady trying to get him to sleep. When I woke up about an hour later, the little guy was just snuggled up to me. It brought tears to my eyes with him so close. Life does not get any better than this!
The moral of the story? I don’t know. But all I can say is that it sure makes me feel good and love all my grand-kids more and more every day.
